Maybe some of you already noticed with the change on my blog’s template. I made this new template fully with my own hand. Well, it’s one of my side project at home. I think it would be nice if I share this template to the public. So, I made some hard customization for the theme to get ready to be publicized well. Alright, I’m not gonna too wordy here. Just enjoy it.

Known Bugs

Well, I realized that this theme is not absolutely perfect (Althought I tell it perfect on the Ad ). Here’s some little bugs I’ve found:

• Padding error after blockquote [IE6]. It’s a well known peek-a-boo bug which exist on the damned Internet Explorer 6. I’ve already know how to fix this bug, but I don’t have any interest to do that. I prefer to ‘force’ you to switch your browser to any browser except Internet Explorer.
• Focusing error on top search form [IE]. If you use IE, try move your mouse over the cool search form on the top menu bar. You’ll find it really hard to put some text on the search box. I still don’t know how to fix this. Cause I think it’s not too important, so I just leave it as long as it’s still looks good
• Bad Z-Index [Firefox, Opera Etc]. One the social icon link located next to the RSS Icon is cutted by the RSS icon link. I’ve arrange the z-index ut it doesn’t work. I don’t know how to solve it. Anybody would pleased to help?

Next Development

Wait for most advancement of Flatind Theme on the second release of it. I’m going to add more and more feature to this lovely theme. These are some of my plan for the Flatind 2:

• Options page. I think this is the most important update. With this options page you don’t need to customize Flatind through the boring and confusing php file anymore. Flatind 1 is for geek and Flatind 2 is for anyone .
• Hover effects for the non-link object on IE. IE doesn’t support hover effect for any non-link object. So, if you open this theme from the bastard IE, you will unable to find the nice hover effects that you’ve found on any other browser.
• Extent customizability. I’m going to extent this theme’s customizability. Here are some point that will be made customizable:
  • Show / hide sidebar (left / right)
  • Post’s Date box style (Calendar / Flat)
  • Image ornamented theme / simple theme (minimum image)
  • Text color customization (Paragrah, link, sidebar etc)
• Multilingual User Interface. I’ll build a stand alone reference file for each UI language. So you can help me to create the UI on other language and give a more localized sense.
• Integration with wordpress plugins. I wanna integrate some well known plugins of wordpress to this theme. Here are some plugins that I want to integrate with:
  • WP-Postviews
  • Intense debate
  • WP-Announcement
  • Ajax Comment Preview
  • Any suggestion?
• Nicely floating comment form. I’ll give options to show the comment form to be floating on your screen. So while you in the middle of comments you can immediately give a comment. No need to scroll down far away to give a comment. Is’nt it great?
• Any other idea??
